Add this event to your holiday "must attend" list. Oklahomans for Equality (OkEq) wants you to don your gay apparel and join them for the sixth annual Falalala Ball on Saturday, December 21, 7-11pm.

Dress for the event is “Holiday fashion,” said Toby Jenkins, Executive Director of OkEq. "Don that gay apparel!”

Uniquely about this years’ event, Jenkins added, “This year Santa says forget about being nice...you get a pass to be naughty.”

The entertainment at the ball this year will be Austyn King, Chasing Nadean, DJ Serious Stanley, Mindy Bartlett and Parker Simon.

Price for admission is nonperishable food items for St. Jerome Church food pantry, pet food and pet supplies for Friend for a Friend, and toiletries for Our House Too.

The St. Jerome Church Food Pantry is a small grocery store available to those with limited resources. A Friend for a Friend helps provide services such as vet care, grooming and food to those that are living with HIV/AIDS who otherwise couldn't afford to maintain reasonable care of their pets. Our House, Too helps relieve the social isolation of people living with HIV/AIDS in the Tulsa area by opening its doors to offer community for HIV+ individuals and their families.

OkEq is Oklahoma’s oldest gay rights organization. OkEq works for social justice and full inclusion for Oklahoma’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) citizens and their allies.

“The first 400 guests in the door get a free pass to Club Majestic. There will also be raffle tickets for romance weekends, Cher tickets, and gift certificates to top restaurants in Tulsa,” concludes Jenkins.

OkEq’s Falalala Ball will be held Saturday December 21, 7-11pm at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 East 4th Street, Tulsa, OK. For information visit www.okeq.org/calendar-events/falalala-ball/

From the 2012 OkEq Falala Ball: Oklahomans for Equality thanks its members and guests of the FaLaLa Ball for their donations to our 2012 Annual Care Drive. Food items for the Parish Church of St Jerome’s Food Pantry; personal need items for Our House Too; pet food for Friends for Friends; and personal gifts from the Fairy Tree for clients of Tulsa CARES were donated on Saturday December 22nd 2012. OkEq appreciates the generosity shown by our community for our community every holiday season.
