Eric Himan to perform in Tulsa at John Olson (OK-D1) fundraiser
Congressional candidate John Olson (OK-1) will attend a fundraiser at Tulsa’s Dennis R. Neill Equality Center on Thursday evening, October 18th. The fundraiser hosted by Tedd Adams is expected to draw a large crowd from the LGBT community as well as many business leaders from the downtown area.
"I'm tired of the state being represented by the far right. The Republican Party that used to be fairly moderate and balanced 50 years ago is probably a party I would have voted for. When I first got involved with the campaign, I saw that John had a really good chance of winning this race and I knew that casting my vote was not enough,” Adams said. “I started off simply volunteering and then I knew that wasn't enough. So I thought, fundraising is really the life blood of any campaign and with all of the people I know, I thought surely I could put together something that would help the campaign in another way.”
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with suggested contribution levels at: $100, $250 and $500.
Special musical guest Eric Himan will perform at the event. Himan is an award-winning nationally touring soulful/folk/rock artist based in the Tulsa area.
