Get out and vote
In the runoff elections today, openly gay candidate Kay Floyd faces Mike Dover for the right to represent the democratic party in the race for Oklahoma House District 88. Floyd came very close to winning the June 26 primary election without a runoff coming up short by 26 votes. The winner of the race today will face republican Aaron Kaspereit in the November 6th general election.
The House District 88 seat was formerly held by representative Al McAffrey who resigned after winning the State Senate seat vacated by former Sen. Andrew Rice.
Floyd has served as an assistant attorney for the State of Oklahoma and currently serves as an administrative law judge for the State of Oklahoma. Along with that she also serves as a Special Municipal Court Judge for Oklahoma City.
