Drag Queen Bingo party in Tulsa

Drag Queen Bingo (DQB) has gotten so big, with 450 in attendance that they had to move from Cain’s Ballroom. The new venue for the event is the Tulsa Hyatt Regency Hotel – Grand Ballroom. This year’s extravaganza starts at 7 pm August 24; the show begins at 7:30.

This year’s stage will have a runway for the Queens and will be able to accommodate a larger crowd. Ten exciting, fast-paced bingo games with fabulous prizes, five of Tulsa’s best female impersonators, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle will round out the evening’s entertainment.

DQB is sponsored by Our House Too, a 501(c)3 organization that provides a safe, home like atmosphere for people living with AIDS to socialize, celebrate the holidays, and enjoy activities in a drug and alcohol free environment.

One client recently stated, “The people at Our House Too are my family. I always look forward to lunch when we just sit around the table and eat and talk.” We also provide a toiletry/household pantry, weekly food baskets and weekly lunches. The funds raised last year helped with roof repairs and client assistance. Our House Too is staffed 100% with volunteers.

Dame Edna of Tulsa (aka Glen Arnold) is “sort of” DQB’s “official spokesperson” because of her easily recognizable “signature glasses,” purple hair, and outlandish wardrobe. Her quick wit and catty comments make guests feel ready to have a fun and fabulous time. Glen loves to volunteer his time to Our House Too and DQB, has served on the agency’s board and always looks forward to this event to give back to this community.

Put on your party clothes, and come on out to DQB. The dress is casual party attire…. ready to have fun. We encourage any kind of costuming…hats, boas or come as your favorite queen!
