Durant scores 23, Thunder roll past Nuggets, 111-98

Oklahoma City (AP) — Kevin Durant scored 23 points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets 111-98 on Sunday night.

Durant played 32 minutes, the most action he's had since coming back from a broken foot that cost him most of last season. He shot 9 of 14 and had six rebounds.

Rookie Emmanuel Mudiay scored 22 points for the Nuggets.

Nuggets: Danilo Gallinari and Erick Green each scored 16 points.

Thunder: G Dion Waiters scored 17 points. ... C Steven Adams was poked in the eye in the third quarter, left the game and did not return. ... C Enes Kanter had 18 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out.

Star watch: Thunder G Russell Westbrook had 17 points, 12 assists and five rebounds.

Midseason form: Thunder F Serge Ibaka scored 18 points on 7-for-8 shooting.

Up next: Denver visits Utah on Thursday; Oklahoma City visits Utah on Tuesday.
