Fallin among a dozen added to Trump's transition team

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin is among a dozen people who have been added to President-elect Donald Trump's presidential transition team.

In a statement released late Tuesday, Vice-president elect Mike Pence announced that Fallin had been named a new vice chair of the team.

Fallin met with Trump in New York last week and is being considered to head the Interior Department, which has 70,000 employees and oversees 11 separate federal agencies.

Other new vice chairs are U.S. Reps. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, Tom Reed of New York, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, and Kathleen Troia McFarland, Trump's incoming deputy national security adviser.

Pence also announced five new members of the transition team's executive committee.
