Final Friday at Positive Directions, The Jones Gallery

Positive Directions is a non-profit agency helping HIV+ individuals and families in the Wichita area.

Wichita - The Jones Gallery at Positive Directions is named after our benefactor and friends, the Jones family. Located in the heart of Wichita’s Arts District, Positive Directions (PDI) participates in the Final Friday Gallery Crawl the last Friday of every month from 6-10pm. Proceeds help benefit HIV/AIDS services provided at PDI.

The works of David Hornback, Photographer have been on display at The Jones Gallery, and will be on display through the Final Friday event, March 28.

Hornback’s credits included College Photographer of the Year, 1983; National Geographic World Magazine cover story, 1984 (‘Florida Panther’); and a Pulitzer Prize along with the staff of the San Jose Mercury News for the coverage of the 1989 San Francisco area-Loma Prieta Earthquake.  Hornback also covered the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989.

He has lived and worked in Berlin, London, Istanbul, Bilbao and Seville, as well as in West Palm Beach, Washington D.C., Providence, San Jose, Tucson, San Francisco and Jackson (Miss).
