Inaugural Festival on OKC's Western Avenue

OKC's West Fest features entertainment, family fun and more.

Festival brings the "new" Western Avenue Streetscape to life

(OKLAHOMA CITY,OK)  Western Avenue is premiering a free, brand new festival from NW 41st to NW 43rd on Sept. 19 from 12 to 10 p.m. with live music, food trucks, a children’s area and beer from local vendors throughout. Headlining the festival in its first year is Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey from Tulsa.

The festival will take place outside of the construction zone to revitalize the district. The Main Stage will be located on Western Avenue between VZD’s and Beck’s Garage.

The event’s main stage will kick off at noon with The Nghiems, then at 1 p.m. – Annie Oakley, 2 p.m. – Bowlsey, 3 p.m. – Rachael Brashear, 4 p.m. – Gum, 5 p.m. – Elms, 6 p.m. – Tallows, 7 p.m. – Beau Jennings and the Tigers, 8 p.m. – DEERPEOPLE and 9 p.m. – Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey

The Barrel will house the second stage: 12:30 p.m. – Mikah Young, 1:30 p.m. – Jarvi, 2:30 p.m. – Jerrod Beck, 3:30 p.m. – Gabriel Knight Hancock, 4:30 p.m. – Willow Way, 5:30 p.m. – Sardashhh, 6:30 p.m. – LoneMoon, 7:30 p.m. – Allie Lauren and at 8:30 p.m. – Softaware

You can find local breweries and vendors serving low-point brews throughout the event. The festival will feature Anthem Brewing Company, Roughtail Brewery, Cock o’ the Walk and COOP Ale Works.

A children’s area will be located on 42nd Street and Western Avenue with yard games, Always Greener grass with ice cream provided by Roxy’s Ice Cream Social, snow cones by the Sno Shack and candy from 42nd Street Candy Company.

Throughout the day, food trucks will be rotating throughout the festival grounds. Food trucks include the Evoke Sip Truck, Roxy’s Ice Cream Social, Buttermilk Southern Sliders, Ciao Wagon, Crepe Brewers, Saucee Sicilian and others.
