Lenny Kravitz performed at the Democratic National Convention to promote peace and love. He enthusiastically performed his hit song, Let Love Rule, while wearing a signature scarf and shawl with an extensive backing band and full church choir.

Kravitz is a singer, songwriter, actor and record producer, whose style incorporates elements of rock, blues, soul, R&B, funk, jazz, reggae, hard rock, psychedelic, pop, folk and ballads.

The lyrics to Let Love Rule were well received by the audience, as they followed the overall theme of unity within the Democratic Party and an end to divisiveness in Washington D.C.

Love is gentle as a rose
And love can conquer any war
It's time to take a stand
Brothers and sisters join hands
We’ve got to let love rule

Kravitz is a four-time Grammy winner and has played roles in films such as Precious, The Butler, and The Hunger Games.
