Newcastle Casino announces Concerts at the Castle

Newcastle, OK – Newcastle Casino officials announced today that country music star Trace Adkins will highlight a trio of free outdoor shows as part of the casino’s Concerts at the Castle series. 

Adkins is set to headline the year’s first Concerts at the Castle installment, on June 23. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the Jason Young Band as the opening act. Adkins is set to take the stage at 8:30 p.m. The show will take place in the casino’s north parking lot. 

The first two shows in the series are free and open to anyone 18 years and older, but guests must pick up tickets at the Newcastle Casino Players Club desk. The third show, the Exit 107 Live Family Music Festival, is open to all ages with no tickets required. 

Other Concerts at the Castle dates are Aug. 16, featuring Elvis tribute artist Travis LeDoyt; and Oct. 2 for the Exit 107 Live Family Music Festival. 

Ryan Sykes, Newcastle Casino’s general manager, said he is excited to bring outdoor entertainment back to the casino following a break last year due to construction at the property. 

“We are thrilled to host our fifth annual outdoor concert series, now called Concerts at the Castle,” Sykes said. “We had to put the outdoor concerts on hold for a year due to facility construction. We are looking forward to having the community come out and enjoy first-class entertainment.”

Tickets for Trace Adkins are available now. When guests pick up their tickets for the June 23 show, they are encouraged to register at the Players Club desk to be entered into a drawing to be held the night of the concert. 

The drawing winner will receive two VIP seats, two meet-and-greet passes and a guitar autographed by Trace Adkins. 

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Outside food and drink will be prohibited. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Security will check bags at the entrance gate.
