No decision following disciplinary hearing for Mormon man

Salt Lake City (AP) — Church officials have yet to make a decision on whether to excommunicate a Mormon man who runs a website for church members questioning their faith.

John Dehlin met with regional church leaders Sunday night in North Logan in a meeting. Dehlin is accused of apostasy, defined by the church as repeatedly acting in clear public opposition to the church.

James Jenkins, a local public affairs representative for the church's Utah North Area, says Stake President Bryan King did not make a decision on Sunday. Jenkins tells KSL-TV that King "will take some time to pray about the decision" and will notify Dehlin in the next few days.

Dehlin said he was told last year that his website Mormonstories.org and his public support of same-sex marriage were reasons he is being accused of apostasy.
