Planned Parenthood Great Plains expands to Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma

Overland Park, KS – Planned Parenthood Great Plains (PPGP) is thrilled to announce an expansion into Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma, making PPGP a four state regional health care provider.

In 2016, PPGP made an aggressive effort to broaden access to reproductive health care in the Great Plains region, by first expanding into Central Oklahoma. Now, PPGP will join forces with three Planned Parenthood health centers in Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. The combined 12 health centers in the quad state region will be headquartered in Kansas City.

“With this expansion, PPGP will be able to better serve its patients by adding primary and pediatric care to its list of comprehensive health services. Our focus is to ensure every person has access to the highest quality primary, reproductive, and sexual health care. Becoming a regional provider will enable our clinicians to collaborate closely and continue offering the most cutting edge treatments for our patients,” Planned Parenthood Great Plains President and CEO, Laura McQuade said.

Earlier this year, PPGP expanded its services to include transgender care, Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and menopausal symptom management. It also added medication abortion services in Wichita, Kansas. This next growth phase will strengthen the delivery of health care in Tulsa, Fayetteville, and Little Rock.
