Lesbian couple’s proposal pic posted on digital billboards in OKC

Victoria Lee and Tracey Campbell were walking in Bricktown November 11 after having dinner at the Melting Pot. And then it happened. “I had no clue she was going to propose,” says Lee. “Out of nowhere she got down on one knee and proposed! I was overjoyed and quickly said, ‘ABSOLUTELY!’ Then we danced and sang the night away at Michael Murphy’s Dueling Pianos! It was perfect!”
They wondered how they would get a picture of the moment, when a passerby took a picture for them. “I think we made her day,” says Lee.
But that’s not the end of the story. Lamar Advertising of Oklahoma City has restarted their “Couple Cam” on digital billboards throughout the city. The picture of the couple when they got engaged was posted on Lamar’s digital billboards.
Lee said, “It’s amazing. She [Tracey] texted me and said we’re on a billboard. I looked on Facebook and just started crying. Lamar Advertising, I thought it was really great for them to do that. Love Wins in my eyes. I’m pretty excited about it.”
The couple plans to get married in October this year.
The digital billboards featuring Victoria and Tracey are at I-35 near Tecumseh; I-40 near Portland; I-35 South on SE 36th; I-44 West at Broadway Extension; Broadway Ext. near 63rd; I-40 and Penn; I-44 near Airport Rd.; I-40 and Meridian; and I-40 and MLK.
Campbell submitted the photo on Lamar’s Facebook page, and within two hours was notified that the photo was posted.
