Lawton/Ft. Sill Pride update

In little over a year, Lawton Ft. Sill Pride has grown from four people at meetings to having over 40 now. LFS Pride held its first meeting July 15, 2012. This year, at their meeting on August 18th they will be holding elections for officers and possibly voting on a set of new bylaws.

“We are doing an anti-bullying program presented by the youth,” said Gracie Fry, the President of the organization. “The event is for youth and for adults as well.” More information on that event will be posted on their Facebook page (Lawton/Fort Sill PRIDE) when it becomes available.

Volunteers from the group are now distributing The Gayly throughout Lawton, so look for more copies located throughout town. They have set them up in many businesses and report they have been very popular!
