"Fabulous" fundraiser much appreciated by company

The fundraising event for gay-themed play The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told for Oklahoma City Theatre Company (OKCTC) raised nearly $2,000 at the event held Saturday, November 9th.
They need to raise another $3,000 for this show.
Controversy arose over the play when Representative Dan Fisher (Republican – Yukon, OK) attempted to block the show calling it, “pornographic.” This caused the company to loose $5,000 in grant funding from the Oklahoma Arts Council.
The fundraiser included appearances from the cast and band from last season's Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Deborah Draheim Deppe, star of OKCTC productions of Gypsy and Always Patsy Cline, David Fletcher-Hall and the DFH Band, RACE Dance Company, Presley Tweed, Reduxion Theatre Company and more.
“We had a good turnout,” said Rachel Irick, OKCTC’s Artistic Director. Still finding themselves short by nearly $3,000 Irick added, "We'll cut corners like we always do and pay everyone out of ticket sales.”
This means the artists and vendors will have to wait until the show closes to get paid.
