Even with Oklahoma's winter weather, the Paseo Art's District has plenty of holiday spirit. So much that they are hosting a second Gallery Walk in the month of December on Friday, December 20. Galleries and shops along Paseo Street will be lit with luminarias in a nod to the Paseo’s distinctive Spanish Revival style architecture. It is a unique lighting display unlike anything else in OKC.
The holiday display will also feature a one-of-a-kind lighted tree created by sculptor (and Paseo Pottery owner) Collin Rosebrook.
Not just a treat for the eyes, the Gallery Walk will also feature live music. Seasonal music will fill the streets from jazz musician Justin Young.
For children and families, teaching artist Erin Latham will offer an interactive ornament-making art activity at no cost.
In addition, many of our incredible Paseo shops and galleries will offer special holiday exhibits, sales, and refreshments with perfect gifts for any age or taste. Many of them are hosting art openings featuring new exhibitions. Step inside to finish up your holiday shopping or just warm up with some hot chocolate!
The event will be held December 20, from 6-10pm.
The Paseo is Oklahoma City’s historic arts district, featuring dozens of galleries, three restaurants and a handful of shops, all within walking distance. The Paseo Arts District is located between Northwest 30th and 27th Streets and Walker and Hudson.
