Openly gay humorist, comedian, author, and radio contributor David Sedaris will offer all new readings of his work and a book signing in Fayetteville at the Walton Arts Center and in Oklahoma City (Midwest City) at the Hudiburg Chevrolet Center at Rose State College.

With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, David Sedaris has become one of America’s preeminent humor writers. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today.

Sedaris is the author of the collections of personal essays Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, and Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary, all of which have become bestsellers. Sedaris’s pieces appear regularly in The New Yorker and have twice been included in The Best American Essays. His latest book entitled Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls was just released in paperback June 2014.

Sedaris bases much of his writing on his own life, and has written often about growing up gay in North Carolina. He lives with his longtime partner, Hugh Hamrick, in West Sussex, England.

David Sedaris will appear on April 23rd in Fayetteville and April 29th in Oklahoma City (Midwest City). Ticket prices vary. Visit www.davidsedarisbooks. com for tickets.
