Norman, OK PFLAG to award two scholarships

(AP) PFLAG Norman will award two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Norman, including public, private or home-schooled students.

Applicants for a scholarship must be residents of Norman and committed to moving equality forward for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons.

Applicants also must further their education or training in an accredited program within the year following graduation; the scholarship will be applied to their tuition and fees.

The PFLAG Scholarship application is available at Norman high schools, on the Facebook page of PFLAG Norman or by contacting the organization at help@pflagnorman.org.
