Monday is a day for school and work so the OKC Pride Board changed the time of the OKC Pride Parade to 4pm this year. This planning has made it better for gay businesses and for those who just simply want to have fun.
“Those who want to party with us, may do so with us at our Parade-Fest,” said Jeremy Crites, OKC Pride Board President. “Beginning at noon, we have our live entertainment, food vendors, a biergarten (a traditional beer garden), and booths culminating with the Pride Parade at 4pm and when it ends…the party continues on the strip.”
The Block Party on the strip begins at noon on Sunday with entertainment,
More of the guests attending OKC Pride will be able to have dinner or have some drinks at the businesses on or near the strip.
Since it’s not blistering hot in May, the Pride Board felt they “had the luxury” of running the parade at an earlier time. This year, with the parade beginning earlier, the end should be closer to 6pm.
