OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - To thank our community for the outpouring of support and generosity in the wake of our devastating tornadoes, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art will offer the reduced admission of $5 on June 8 and 9. All proceeds will be donated to support United Way of Central Oklahoma's relief efforts.  Additional donations can be made at the Museum during this time as well.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of these horrific storms. Our hope is that the Museum will be a place of comfort, refuge and peace as the cleanup and rebuilding process continues," said Museum President and CEO E. Michael Whittington. "The amount of support from the Oklahoma community and beyond is astounding - being new to the state, I am proud to be able to call myself an Oklahoman."

The Museum is currently featuring two special exhibitions. Herb Ritts: Beauty and Celebrity includes 80 works from the acclaimed photographer. Known for his innovative approach to fashion, intimate portraiture of celebrities, and the classical treatment of the nude, Ritts emerged in the 1980s to become one of the most successful celebrity and fashion photographers of the late twentieth century and an important part of the history of American photography.

Also on view is an interactive puppet installation by Wayne White, HALO AMOK. White was commissioned to create an ephemeral, site-specific installation. While in residency at the Museum, he designed and directed the large-scale puppet installations he describes as a "cubist cowboy rodeo." He began the installation by creating more than fifty cubist and rodeo inspired drawings and paintings.
