Oklahoma Medical Marijuana License Applications to Open Saturday
The online application system for medical marijuana licenses will be available to the public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 25.
Applicants for patient and commercial licenses will find the link to apply at www.OMMA.ok.gov at that time.
Applicants will be able to provide the required information in the online form and upload required documents to complete the application. The application system is designed for both computer and mobile phone use.
For those needing a computer to submit their application, it is recommended that they visit their local public library or reach out to friends and family for internet access. Applicants should not visit the state or county health department offices because the application process is exclusively online and paper applications will not be available.
"Thanks to the hard work of our Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) project team, we have been able to meet the required timelines of SQ 788 and provide a system that will efficiently provide for the processing of applications," said Interim State Health Commissioner Tom Bates.
"It has taken many long hours and great coordination between partners to reach this benchmark and we could not have accomplished our work without the help and expertise of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services and our software vendor, Complia Government Solutions."
Once applications are entered into the online system, applicants will receive an email confirming the submission of an application. At that time, OMMA staff will be able to review the application.
After this review, applicants will get an email stating they have been approved for a license, asking for additional information to complete the application, or informing them that they have not met licensure requirements and have been denied a medical marijuana license.
Approval and denial letters also will be sent to applicants in the mail. Completed applications will be reviewed by OMMA staff beginning Monday, August 27, and licenses will begin being mailed to successful applicants in early September.
Questions about the application process can be directed to the OMMA call center Monday through Friday, 8:30 am- 5:00 p.m. by calling (405) 522-OMMA.
If applicants need help with logging in or resetting their Complia account password, they can contact Complia at support-ok@mycomplia.com.
