ORU: Divorce better option than same-sex marriage

A Tulsa woman owes more the $14,000 in student debt due to her sexual orientation. Oral Roberts University (ORU) has cut off all dialogue with Sabrina Bradford until she finalizes her divorce to her wife.
However, she is neither suspended nor expelled. This limbo is halting her transfer to the University of Oklahoma.
The ORU student honor code states, “I will not engage in or attempt to engage in any illicit, unscriptural sexual acts, which include any homosexual activity and sexual intercourse with one who is not my spouse through traditional marriage of one man and one woman.”
The honor code is offered every semester as a renewed “personal commitment,” but Bradford signed this honor code once in 2011 and never again.
ORU makes no mention of the honor code in their exchange with Bradford, instead telling her that they are “in prayer concerning [her]...situation” and that they are “trusting God that He will work everything out in [her] behalf including the termination of the marital relationship...”
They continue, “Please let us know when this proceeding is complete so we can continue the dialogue.”
Bradford has had no contact with ORU since this email and remains in limbo, both trying to transfer to OU without proper documentation of her suspension or expulsion, and trying to pay back about $1,188 per month to OU.
ORU is now controlled by the biblical billionaire Green family, who also owns Hobby Lobby.
They have not returned the request for comment.
