Planned Parenthood clinic suspect says he's a 'warrior' for babies
Colorado Springs, Colo. (AP) The man accused of killing three people at a Planned Parenthood clinic says he's guilty and that he's a "warrior for the babies."
Robert Lewis Dear made the comments Wednesday during a court hearing for prosecutors to announce charges filed against him. The 57-year-old said he was guilty and that there will be no trial.
Three people were killed in the Nov. 27 shootings — two civilians and a campus police officer who responded to the gunfire. Nine people were wounded, including five other officers.
Prosecutors had planned to announce the charges filed against Dear during the court hearing Wednesday.
Investigators have refused to disclose a motive for the shooting, but Dear rambled to authorities about "no more baby parts" after his arrest and asked at least one person for directions to the clinic before opening fire there Nov. 27.
