Roxy’s Downtown in Wichita presents Always... Patsy Cline

Always…is based on the true story of Patsy Cline’s friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger. The show combines humor, sadness and reality. It offers fans who remember Cline while she was alive a chance to look back, while giving new fans an idea of what seeing her was like and what she meant to her original fans. The show features all the hits of Patsy Cline on stage with a full band that will set your feet a'tapping, your hands a'clapping, and your heart a'singing.

Ironically, this show plays in two intimate dinner theatre’s in The Gayly’s region on or about the same time. Both here at Roxy’s in Wichita (through March 28) and at OKC’s Boom Dinner Theatre (through February 21).

“I am tickled pink to have the chance and the opportunity of performing in this show again, and doing it with my dear friend Cindy is a monumental privilege,” said Christine Tasheff. “Thank you for being here and for supporting live theatre… and hangin’ out with Patsy and Louise! During the day you can find Christine at Roxy’s in the role of Artistic Director, sitting at the same desk she sat at during her stint as original owner and producer of Cabaret Oldtown.

“I am so happy to be back in the original space where Christine and I performedAlways... Patsy Cline for nine months,” said Cindy Summers, who plays the role of Patsy Cline. “Since that time I've traveled the country recreating Patsy for packed houses and great audiences in Colorado, Texas, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Virginia, Arizona, Utah, New Jersey, and California. Thank you Roxy’s staff and crew for letting me be a part of the fun. Enjoy the show and this incredible band we have rounded up for you!”

Always…Patsy Cline opened on Thursday, Jan. 29. The house opens at 7 for drinks and appetizers. Drinks are served from 7 until the close of the show. Tickets are available for Always…Patsy Cline Thurs.-Sat. through March. 28, with Sunday matinees at 2pm running until the end of March.
