Shop for the holiday at the Paseo’s First Friday, December 5
(Oklahoma City, OK) The Paseo Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Walk for December will take place Friday, Dec. 5 from 6pm to 10pm, and continues on Saturday from noon to 6pm.
The Gallery Walk will have 20 galleries open featuring 75 artists who will host opening receptions, promising something for everyone. Since the Holiday Gala was canceled on Nov. 16 due to bad weather, we have moved the scheduled activities to our First Friday Weekend.
The Paseo Art Space will host Joallen Gibson’s “Journey of a Self-Taught Artist” opening reception. Featuring mixed media paintings with geologic inspirations. On the street there will be strolling carolers, Santa from 6-8pm handing out candy and a couple of food trucks (Crepe Brewers, Big O’s BBQ and Katiebugs Hot Chocolate) parked at 30th and Paseo.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, we will have free carriage rides from 1-6pm, a children’s ornament activity from 1-4pm at the Paseo Art Space and a gift certificate drawing at 4pm.
Each First Friday, Paseo galleries offer special themed exhibits, refreshments, guest artists and a variety of entertainment opportunities.
Paseo, Oklahoma City’s historic arts district is where art and history come alive. Dozens of galleries, three restaurants and a handful of shops stand in distinctive Spanish Mission Revival style buildings, all within walking distance.
