Thousands rally in Madrid in favor of LGBT Pride
MADRID (AP) — Thousands of people have defied high temperatures and security concerns to march in Madrid's LGBT Pride parade.
The march Saturday in the Spanish capital came just three weeks after members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community were tragically victimized in a shooting massacre at a U.S. nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
The deadly attack June 12 in Orlando, where 49 people were slain by a lone gunman, led to profound and heartfelt remembrance throughout the Madrid procession. The rally also featured a special emphasis on bisexual rights.
