Tulsa's “First Thursday” exhibit features author P.C. Cast
(Tulsa) The October Oklahomans for Equality (OkEq) First Thursday showcase and exhibit of artists for October will feature the multi-media works of Tulsa's bestselling author, P.C. Cast. The show begins with a reception Thursday, October 3 from 6-9pm and continues throughout the month.
P.C. Cast is the number one NY Times and USA Today bestselling author of the House of Night series, which is set in Tulsa. House of Night is a phenomenon, selling more than twenty million copies in more than forty-two countries. It was during the research for this series that P.C. began experimenting with photography as a way to capture the images she later transformed into fiction.
Over the past several years, this research technique evolved into an art form in which the author has incorporated beads, semi-precious stones, and other materials to create a three dimensional aspect to her photography. P.C. is excited that the OKEQ Showcase will be the first time she exhibits her work. For more information, please contact Sherry Rowland at lsherryr@aol.com, or 918-625-6526.
The show begins with a reception at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 E. 4th Street in downtown Tulsa, on Thursday, October 3 from 6-9pm. There will be a door prize drawn of a set of the author's books, signed by PC. The show continues throughout the month. http://www.okeq.org/.
