UCO LGBT+ group receives approval for Edmond’s first LGBT+ Pride

Edmond's first LGBT+ Pride event will take place October 20 in Hafer Park following an approval from the Edmond Special Events Committee.
The Student Alliance for Equality from the University of Central Oklahoma will host the all-day Pride event.
The proposal seems like it would be a good event,” said John Stephens, director of admissions at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend. All of Hafer Park will be used for the event.
40 vendors have already been secured. Activities will include face painting, performances and crafts.
The event will begin at 10 a.m.
