Staff Report

Walk MS is focused on engaging the community to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. Wichita’s Walk MS has a 25-year tradition of bringing thousands of people together on a Saturday morning to walk for a World free of MS. We do this by uniting friends, families, and colleagues to raise funds as teams and individuals.

The event is family-friendly, featuring kid-zone entertainment, a batting cage, and live music. There will be areas designated for sponsorship booths, allowing attendees a chance to learn more about the partners supporting this cause.

“We also have our MS Experience Tent, where you can learn about MS symptoms, research, and progress,” said Jason Dilts, Development Manager for the National MS Society, Mid America Chapter Wichita Branch.

After the walk, attendees enjoy a cookout outside with live music.

Walk MS Wichita is scheduled for April 27, 2013 at the Sedgwick County Park (6501 W 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67205). Check-in/registration opens at 9:00am. The walk starts at 10:00am. You can walk from one to three miles, depending on the route you choose.
