World Traveling Violin featured by BrightMusic

BrightMusic's January performances feature guest artist Cyrus Beroukhim.

In January, Oklahoma City’s BrightMusic Chamber Ensemble presents two performances of “World Traveling Violin,” featuring guest artist Cyrus Beroukhim in a sumptuous showcase for strings, clarinet and piano.

The works on the program include: 1) Mozart’s Trio in B-Flat Major, K.502 (violin, cello and piano); 2) Aram Khachaturian's Trio for Violin, Clarinet and Piano; 3) Bright Sheng's Tibetan Dance for Violin, Clarinet and Piano; 4) Maurice Ravel's Sonata No. 1 in A Minor for violin and piano; and 5) Paul Schoenfield's Trio for Violin, Clarinet and Piano. This dazzling evening of trios will especially delight string enthusiasts!

In addition,violinist Beroukhim, who has served as guest Concertmaster with the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, the BrightMusic musicians appearing at this concert include Jonathan Ruck (cello), Chad Burrow (clarinet), and Amy I-Lin Cheng (piano).

The performances will take place at 7:30pm Monday, January 12, at All Souls’ Episcopal Church, 6400 N Pennsylvania Avenue (at 63rd Street);and at 7:30pm Tuesday, January 13, at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 127 NW 7th Street (at Robinson).
